Frequently Asked Questions

How will estates be managed? The estate will be managed by an Estate Management Company which will be responsible for the maintenance of the estate landscaping up keep, refuse collection and de-silting the underground drains. It will also ensure that homeowners conform to estate regulations.

How can I check on the progress of my house? Homeowners can check on the build's progress by requesting pictures by email or by organising site visits at your convenience.

Can I make changes to the house specifications during construction? We welcome your input in deciding how you would like your interiors, however, any changes that fall outside our specifications will attract extra charges.

Can you help me rent out the property when it's completed? We are currently developing a management service for DMI homes, which will market and manage your home for holiday lets. For long term lets we would recommend Regalon International.

What level of security will be provided in the community? East legon Court is within a gated community with 24 hour security.

What kind of infrastructure are you providing? Water, electricity, telephones, underground drains, roads, fence walls and beautiful landscaped gardens.

Can I choose the location of my plot?
Plots are allocated on a first come first serve basis, with reservation only being secured with the non returnable payment of the reservation fee and allocation being confirmed on payment of 35% commence build payment.

Can I have a Helpers quarters or a guest house? Help’s Quarters are available prices start from £5,000.

Are you providing landscaping in and around the estate?
We plan to plant over 300 trees within the community providing interest and fruit all year round. Our Landscaping team will be happy to work with you to design your dream garden.

How can I pay for my new house?
Payments can transfered to DMI's Bank accounts either in the UK or Ghana. Mortgages are now available please contact us for further details.

What kind of ownership will I have in the land?
Ownership is a leasehold interest. The lease is for a period of 98 years, and is renewable for a further term of 50 years.

Is there a defects liability period on a building I purchase
All buildings carry a defects liability period of one year. This covers defects on building materials and workmanship as well as structural and roof defects.
